Myrthen with Roger Vignoles
On the 15th and 16th of February 2020, Oksana had the opportunity to work again on Schumann’s Wedding Gift ‘Myrthen‘ to Clara. The last time she performed this cycle was at Royal Academy of Music in 2017. This time Oksana had the pleasure of being coached by one of the most distinguished piano accompanists of our time Roger Vignoles. A two day masterclass was followed by a performance of the whole cycle alongside her colleagues at Britten Theatre, Royal College of Music.
On the 7th of February 2020, Oksana successfully performed her first Opera Scenes at RCM. She was fortunate to be able to continue exploring Mozart’s Don Giovanni having previously making her debut as Zerlina. This time Oksana played the role of Donna Elvira. The performance included Donna Elvira’s aria ‘Ah, fuggi il traditor‘ followed by the quartet with Don Giovanni, Donna Anna and Ottavio. The piano part was played by Sebastian Wybrew, conducted by Natalie Murray and directed by Saffron van Zwanenberg.
On the 21st of December 2019, Oksana and her dear friend and accompanist Virgile Van Essche gave a recital to Belgium public. The programme included one of the greatest cycles written for the voice in the Soviet Union: ‘Russia Cast Adrift‘ by Georgy Sviridov followed by Tchaikovsky’s Tatyana’s Letter Scene and piano works by Sergey Prokofiev and Dmitri Shostakovich.
On the 28th of September 2019, Oksana made her debut as Zerlina in a concert performance of Mozart’s Don Giovanni with Covent Garden Chamber Orchestra under the baton of Matthew Scott-Rogers.
